Gary also got a job for his employee Aimee Gilbreath. She's now staff at USC.

In December 2005 I met Gary Michelson for the first time in person at Kathy Riordan's house. He stated at that time he was going to use his money, brains and contacts to find a one shot sterilant for cats, dogs. He said he would quickly make Los Angeles the first true no kill city in the nation. I have a DVD of that meeting which I took.

Gary started the $75 million Michelson Prize. $50M would go for research grants. The $25M prize would go to the first person who gave him a one shot or dosage sterilant for cats and dogs. I sent in three drugs which would work. I'm sure others sent in more drugs. Gary did not pay the prize. Instead he moved the field goal.

The new Prize had a bunch of hoops you had to jump through. He had to be able to patent the drug in his name. Sounds like he wanted to patent and sell it for profit. If someone had a one shot sterilant, it would make sense for them to patent and sell it instead of giving it to Gary. It'd be worth more than the $25M.

It's now 13 years later. The research grants didn't produce a one shot sterilant. Gary refused to award the Prize to anyone. If I sent in three drugs, many other people sent in even more drugs. Gary Michelson is a failure. He doesn't keep his promises. When he doesn't keep promises he generally says "I never said that." He doesn't use email, fax or written letters. I may post the DVD of that meeting. He clearly states Found Animals will focus mainly on spay and neuter. Just months later he said the focus would be pet Kiosks and microchips instead. I always took written notes of our meetings because he always denied what he said just so he wouldn't have to keep a promise, an agreement. Just look at how Gary lied about his business arrangement with Richard and Neil.

I updated the timeline of events in this case in the below timeline link. There are two criminal cases, one in Costa Rica and one in California. The California one has three different dates. There is a civil case in California against both defendants which continues to this day with debtor hearings. Oddly enough my case was reassigned to the same court and Judge as Richard's case. Not a coincidence. There is also a case in Idaho against Neil. Gary keeps dragging him to hearing after hearing just to torture him. Gary Michelson enjoys being cruel to people. Beware ever doing business or being friends with Michelson. You will be stabbed in the back and then some.

USC building named after Gary Michelson grand opening. USC sells publicity and naming rights to anyone with money

The USC Michelson Hall building had its grand opening last Wednesday. Gary Michelson bought the naming rights of a USC building for $50,000,000. I'm sure there is a very long and detailed contract about the specific terms. I believe Gary demanded lots and lots of positive press, that silly cake, breaking ground photos, so many mentions in the USC websites, newsletters, the honorary degree.... It's just a business deal yet he can write it off as a donation. And to think Gary used to say art museums are just an illegal tax write off.

USC has a horrible recent history of being willing to work with horrible, unethical, unprofessional people if they can raise money or give them a lot of money. USC recently had to fire two Deans, Carmen Puliafito and then his replacement Rohit Varma for very improper behavior.

I'm sure USC has a clause in their building naming contract that if Michelson does anything that could embarrass USC they can remove his name. Does USC know how corrupt, unethical and just plain evil Gary Michelson is? I would think filing false criminal reports against people would be grounds enough. There was also that defamation lawsuit, Gary admitting he personally thanked ex DA Steve Cooley for arresting his ex-boyfriend, Gary committing perjury by stating there was a written contract when there wasn't, being caught committing tax fraud and heavily fined in the millions.... They soon will know all about it.

And another thing I found some newspaper ads by Gary Michelson. He was a sports medicine doctor. Sports medicine doctors generally work on knees, shoulders, elbows and not backs. Gary tells people he was a back surgeon. Per his medical license he was not board certified. He didn't state areas of practice. He has nothing to do with patient care, research or teaching. I was told that Gary wasn't good at sports. I know he wasn't involved in any in high school. He wasn't even a member of any club or group unlike his brothers who played a few sports, musical instruments, were in clubs, groups.... Gary seemed to be the only kid in his high school who wasn't involved in any sport, club or group. I was told that is why Gary gravitated to sports medicine. He wanted to meet athletes and sports figures. I was also told that he had major social issues which is why he is not a people person. At the last party he threw for his adoptandshop he basically stood by himself the entire night.

Dr Gary Michelson and his amazing story telling - Spine, Medtronic, billionaire

The Found Animals Foundation just sent an email saying they're doing "Great!" Gary has allegedly invested $100,000,000 in lots of research projects to find a one dose permanent sterilant for cats, dogs. It's been 11 years and he still hasn't found one. He keeps giving grants for needless experiments. The doctors beg for the grants to get the money. They have no goal to find a sterilant. If they did, there wouldn't be any more grants.  Gary then blasts other researchers who do needless experiments just to get grants. Meanwhile there are already FDA approved drugs he could buy and use to sterilize the animals. He instead insists of spending lots of money to try to find a new one so he can patent it and make money. The patent and money are the true goals of Dr Gary Michelson. He obviously doesn't really care about the animals.

The email told everyone to read this nice article the Jewish Journal wrote about him back in March. I don't have a problem with the Jewish Journal writing the article. They wrote what he told them to write. They are a great periodical.

The Jewish Journal of course wants some of Gary's money, another reason for the article. From the article, "Asked why he has not made Jewish charities a focus of his work, Michelson said, “To me, that’s like a small-world view of things. It’s never occurred to me to ask what religion people are." Remember this line folks in case anyone ever asks you to donate to a religious cause. Gary will continue to dangle his money in front of people hoping to get praise like this article.

My issue with the article is the grandma story. It keeps changing getting more dramatic with every telling. He has since added a new story about how he was able to not get kicked out of med school when he refused to needlessly operate on an animal. In the story he found a way to use a little girl's rib to repair a leg injury so she wouldn't need her leg amputated. This changed the school's mind about kicking him out. Doctors have been doing bone grafts for years using ribs. He's not that old. The med school also wanted his tuition money. I doubt he would have been kicked out for not operating on a dog. He previously stated he refused to operate on a dog in med school. The "almost got kicked out" is a new part to the story. His miracle save is also new. And heaven forbid he not slam his parents some more, he states that his mom and dad were violent and would hit him. His only friend was the family dog. Oddly his brothers had a fine relationship with the mom, don't know about the dad who is now deceased.

The article ends with this.

“What do I want on my tombstone?” he said. “ ‘He made a difference. He tried to change the world, and to leave it a little bit better.’”

That won't be his legacy. His legacy will be as a man with no friends, no family except the new wife, kids he bought who don't like him. He'll be known as a man who thinks the world has cheated him, taken advantage of him. He is a man consumed by vengeance against others who just didn't want to be his friend because he's unstable, crazy and not very nice. He'll be known as the man who stole his main "invention" from a horse veterinarian. He'll be known as a man who publicly brags about his "big hands" any chance he gets with an evil smile. Based on my experience that generally means an inverse relationship. It also shows his major insecurities besides his juvenile psyche. He's 67 years old. He'll also be known as a man in turmoil over his closeted homosexual status. Can't come out when you come from a conservative Russian Jewish family from the east coast. Everyone knows. It's even been in public court documents.

He won't be known for helping the world. He filed patents to make money not to help people. If he wanted to help people, he'd make his patents free. That would probably save $50,000 on each back surgery. People would be able to afford the surgery if he hadn't patented the horse vet's invention. Benjamin Franklin was a renown inventor who actually helped the world because he didn't patent anything. Franklin stated that patents don't help society. Patents are for people only interested in money and ego. That is Gary Michelson. Gary even had the nerve to make that ridiculous video where he states he has one fewer patent than Benjamin Franklin. That would mean he has -1 patent. Gary wants people to think he's as bright as Franklin. How dumb does someone have to be to not realize Franklin made thousands of inventions but he had zero patents intentionally. If I could invent something that would save people's lives, I'd give it away for free. Any sane person would.

Zampolli had a "modelling agency" which even included Tara Reid the has been actress.

Here are some reviews of Gary Michelson's companies which I just found. Sounds like things haven't changed since I worked there. FTR I did not make any of these reviews. Why would I when I've said almost everything here?

I agree with some of the comments. Gary Michelson is a shitty judge of character. He seems to hire and only keep people after his money. They state they are qualified when they aren't. Look at Dean Florez. He couldn't get a job anywhere else because of his illegal behavior. He suckered Gary into hiring him for big bucks.

The environment is toxic over there. Dean keeps Gary on a leash by badmouthing others to him. If someone doesn't do what they want, that person will badmouth the person to Gary. Gary believes anything you tell him. If you really want to control Gary, just tell him so and so is stealing money, taking advantage of him, saying he has small hands....

I bet there are other review sites with the same bad reviews. Gary Michelson is a shitty business person and poor judge of character. This is why he sometimes gets ripped off like with accounting firm. I bet they made a nice commission on those illegal tax havens which caused Gary to be guilty of tax evasion in the million and millions. Gary keeps getting ripped off because he has no real friends, no one he can trust. No one wants to be Gary's friend because he's not rational or sane. He turns on people in a nanosecond over nothing.

Gary Michelson told the same story to Forbes magazine.

"While operating at Centinela Hospital in Inglewood, Calif., Michelson became frustrated by how hard back surgery could be. His big hands didn’t have an easy time maneuvering inside the incisions."

Hands don't go inside incisions. This is back surgery. Everyone uses tools. His main invention is not a tool for people with big hands. It's an invention he stole from a horse veterinarian. Gary just ran to the patent office first with a horse vet's idea. It was a threaded spinal cage the same cage he and Medtronic have been sued over.

Gary Michelson told the same story to the NY Times

"Dr. Michelson, who is 56, said he began inventing because he had unusually large hands. Some of his spinal surgery patients were scared because large incisions would be needed to accommodate his hands."

I was just going to check out Gary Michelson's Wikipedia page. I used to update it for him before I realized he was a fraud. Looks like "Daniel Bernstein" is still updating it with fake references. Daniel has also made some more Gary Michelson pages.

Case argued this morning. Opinion will be filed by 02/01/2015

There was oral argument this morning in the Second Court of Appeals at 300 S Spring street. The case has been submitted. The opinion will be filed by February 1, 2015. We shall see if there will be justice.

As it stands there is just one count on appeal. The question is, is it a misdemeanor. If it is, should it be dismissed as it was first offense for both defendants after the passing of recent proposition 47. After those questions are answered, there will be more.

Gary Michelson writes new life story for wife Alya Michelson - ex Forbes billionaire

I'd posted the real history of Alya Michelson which I pieced together from the Internet and people who've met her. I'd also posted the fake history of Alya Michelson which Alya told the world. Since then Gary Michelson has written a new history for Alya Michelson. Which one of these is the real history? Based on facts it's the one I posted.

Alya Michelson told the world she was the first test tube baby. She wrote and sung the song used for the opening of the Olympics in Beijing. She was a singer, rapper and a Kremlin correspondent. None of that was true of course. Such huge lies which were easily disproven yet Gary Michelson believed them.

She tried to be a model but didn't get any work as far as I can tell. I searched in Russian and English for all her names. She then had a Russian mail order bride website where she looks a little heavier and very rough. She said she was a Kremlin correspondent when all she did was translate Russian news copy into English and not very well. I don't see any video of her work doing news. I see no evidence of any other work.

Her dad works in and with the Russian government. I'm sure he swung getting her the volunteer job in Beijing. He probably also got her the press job.

Originally I found it odd that their first child a girl was named Sasha. In Russia that is a boy's name. I then realized that her Russian boyfriend is named Sasha. She named her first kid after her boyfriend. That's okay because Gary named their third kid after his dog Grace. Tit for tat. I think the middle boy being being named Isaiah was a hat tip to the fact that he's Jewish. Even though he said horrible things about his mother his entire life he still wants to try to please her.

Looks like Gary is using Alya as a campaign contribution funnel.

I assume Gary Michelson harassing the Forbes people last year to make sure he was on the list is the reason he was highlighted this year as an official drop-off. Dr Gary Michelson is too poor to be on the list. He must be fuming.

Gary Michelson isn't truthful about donations to medical research - Forbes billionaire

As per his tax return below he donated $100 million to his medical research foundation. The money is still sitting there. He didn't spend it on medical research.

Sounds like he may be using DAF to avoid, evade taxes. That's probably the main reason why he started these non-profits in the first place, i.e. he hates paying his fair share of taxes.

He already got in trouble with the IRS for tax evasion on illegal tax write offs as per his lawsuit against Proskauer. Maybe that is what's happening here?

Remember he also offered a $75 million prize in 2006 or 2008 I think. It's been years and he hasn't awarded the prize even though he was given drugs which cause permanent sterilization. Gary enjoys dangling meat in front of dogs.

Gary Michelson was dismissed from this major lawsuit over his threaded spinal cage invention which he stole from someone else and patented. Appeals could just put him back into the lawsuit. He is a nominal defendant as Medtronic stated he didn't manufacture or market his patent or medical device.

Extension granted: States requests another extension after being previously denied. Gary Michelson, Forbes, billionaire, teak farm

UPDATE: 30 day extension granted. Respondent's brief due 07/06/2015.

They requested two month extension and got one. Day before reply brief due they request another 30 days even though they were originally denied. They would need a damn good excuse. I'm sure they'll
"find" one.

My personal feeling is the state is requesting extensions to drag this out because they know they have no case. Just trying to postpone the inevitable. Fortunately the prelim judge was pretty just. The trial judge was a little just. The jury is the one who made the verdict. I think the trial judge really should have reduced then dismissed the one charge. Hopefully the appeals court will be just. I've seen some good and bad opinions.

This case involves money, power, politicians, campaign contributions. The DA past and present is very close with all the judges in criminal courts. They know each other very well, have worked together.

I've seen some really horrible appeals in civil court. The judges received campaign contributions from the big corporate parties and others. They ruled for the big corporations even though they were in the wrong and up against one of the best attorneys I've ever seen. We can only pray for justice.

Gary Michelson's paid bloggers keep stating this which is false.

"Gary Michelson Medical Research Foundation: Over $100 million donated to medical research,"

Gary Michelson put $108,000,000 of his money in his non-profit shell Michelson Medical. Only $5,000,000 has been spent the last time I looked at his 990's which are searchable in this blog. He did not donate "over $100 million" to medical research. He just put his personal money into the non-profit tax deductible shell of Michelson Medical which he alone controls with no board.

FTR Gary Michelson got popped for tax evasion few years back. He tried to sue the person who sold him the illegal tax deductible instruments and lost. He had to pay the past tax and a huge fine. So far most of Gary Michelson's "donations" appear to be tax shelters. I'll try to check his most recent 990's. You can find them in GuideStar.com

Gary Michelson trademarks "Found Animals" and "Adopt and Shop," why?

Gary Michelson is now adding the trademark symbol to his foundation names. Talk about egotistical. Why? Put "found animals" and "adopt and shop" in search. Sounds like his attorneys just want to make more money off of him. Why get a trademark you can never defend?

He's a non-profit. I don't get this. In order to defend a trademark he would have to show that his trademark was used by another identical "for profit business" to make it appear that they were his trademarked company. I don't see anyone doing this.

Not only that but "adopt and shop" was coined by me and people working with LA Animal Services when we wanted to open up pet supply shops in the new shelters. One nasty old lady employee Linda Gordon said it couldn't be done as buildings were built with bond funds so no non-profit or the dept could operate a shop in there. After I did some research it turns out that was a lie. Linda Gordon hated everyone outside of dept employees and did everything she could to harm outsiders even if it meant harming, killing animals. Heidi Huebner the volunteer coordinator at the time helped her. Heidi Heubner personally was responsible for wild animals dying in the shelter. She allowed them to slowly die without food, water while they broke their jaws, teeth, rubbed all the skin off their snouts and arms trying to get out of their cages. Heidi also stole from the department and worked other paying jobs while on the shelter time clock. She even used shelter supplies and people to make money from her private group.

Leon Seidman of Cosmic Catnip the catnip king of the world was working with me and others to get the shops in the shelters to help the shelters. Only the dept would have profited which was the goal. Everyone was working for free toward this goal. City killed the idea. Everyone who was helping quit helping the dept out of frustration.
