20 Year Old Promise by Gary Michelson Never Kept, Found Animals Foundation

20 years ago back in 2005 Gary Michelson founded the nonprofit organization Found Animals Foundation. Gary Michelson stated his goal was to end pet overpopulation through spay and neuter. He offered a $75,000,000 Michelson prize to anyone who could give him a one shot permanent cat dog sterilant he could patent and profit from. Gary never ended pet overpopulation. He didn't develop the one shot sterilant. He never awarded the $75,000,000. Pet overpopulation is even worse today. What went wrong? 

Nothing went wrong. Gary never intended to keep his promise. Gary is clearly not capable of developing a one shot sterilant. He kept telling everyone his magnificent brain combined with his millions would invent the drug and end the cruel and inhumane euthanasia and death of unwanted pets. He never really even tried. He had someone else run the organization and they had their own agenda. First it was microchips which don't save lives. Then it was pet kiosks which don't save lives. Then it was small grants for small research projects which probably cost some animals their lives. 

I was there at a meeting at Kathleen Riordan's house in December 2005. Gary had a movie crew who was filming this "amazing life saving adventure." They were going to make a movie and release it once he ended pet overpopulation. Ha! I also took video of that first meeting which I still have. Gary got up and told everyone that he would end pet overpopulation and euthanasia through spay neuter. Everyone cheered including myself. I really truly believed he could do it. 

At that time I thought he was an amazing brilliant inventor. I didn't realize that the only profitable and real invention he patented wasn't even his own. He took the idea from a horse vet and just patented it first. Gary is good at filing patents with patent attorneys. He's not actually good at inventing life saving devices or drugs. 

I was so supportive of Gary and his goal that I ended up working for him. I wanted to make sure he ended pet overpopulation and animal suffering. Over time I came to realize that he didn't care about the goal or even animals. He didn't spay or neuter his own animals. He let his dog walk off leash in the street. He let his unneutered dog go to the dog park and hump other dogs. 

After a year or so he made no progress on his goal not even first baby steps. People started to hound me for progress reports. I told them his work takes time. Give him a break. After a few years I realized he wasn't even making any progress at all toward the goal. He then offered a lesser prize for grants in animal reproduction. He gave smaller amounts of money to groups who did small studies which were worthless and meaningless besides a waste of funds. He just wanted people to believe he was doing something so they'd stop hounding him. He just wanted people to believe he was a philanthropist helping animals.

Finally Gary tired of all of it and stopped doing anything. Now he just hands out a few bucks to an animal group here and there. Some of the recipients are very suspect and don't even help animals at all. Gary doesn't care. He's done with his Found Animals Foundation. 

The below is the most recent summary of his Found Animals Foundation IRS filing for 2023. Total assets $14,432,052 Total expenses $7,740,700 Total giving $1,403,552. He spends the nonprofit's money on parties, awards, events and grants/gifts to friends. There will be no one shot sterilant from Gary Michelson. There will be no end to pet overpopulation. There will be no end to animal suffering. Gary could have done it if he wanted to but he just doesn't care. The organization is now just a tax haven and fund to give money to friends.

Gary Michelson, microchips, Pethealth, Found Animals Pet Microchip Registry sell your personal data, information

Dr Gary Michelson wants everyone to think that he's a caring and giving person. On one hand he donates a lot of money to his own charities. On the other hand that money just sat there for years while he was found by the IRS to have committed tax evasion and tax fraud in the amount of about $48,000,000 for 2000 and 2001 not including penalties. Gary used to rant that non-profit art museums are just "tax evasion." Then he gets popped for tax evasion after buying into tax shelters that weren't legal per the IRS. 

If Gary Michelson gives something, he always wants something in return. I worked for him while he was considering buying and then bought the microchip entity. His plan was to buy the chips at a discount based on volume. He'd then donate the chips to the public shelters. In return he wanted the data on all the pet owners to sell it to make money from advertising, marketing revenue by selling the data, selling access to the data, selling access to the registrants to other companies. It's kind of like Facebook offering its services for free so they can collect and sell your data to advertisers or people who want to influence the US elections and harm our nation.

Below is part of the disclaimer from Gary's chip registry site. 

"We may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize our services, content and advertising." 

Gary Michelson thinks everything is a "scam." If someone is making a profit of one penny off of him, it's a scam. It someone sells a cake for $20, it's a scam because he could buy the ingredients for $2.00. Gary never considers the experience and expertise needed to make a good cake or to find land that will increase in value.

I agree that chips are pretty cheap relative to the prices they used to sell them for to the public in 2005. I agree that chips need to be registered if you want to be reunited with your pet. Gary forgets that it costs money to input the data into the system and maintain it. His non-profit paid for that not expecting a profit. A for profit business would have to pay for that and expect a profit if they are to survive. That doesn't make them "scammers" or "greedy." If anyone is a greedy scammer that would be Gary Michelson who defrauds the IRS and lies about people about crimes.

Gary Michelson offered his free pet registry to spite the for profit chip sellers, resellers and pet registries. His non-profit operates under a different business model than a for profit business. Instead of selling the chips and registration service, he sells the data of the pet owners, registers. He didn't start the registry out of the goodness of his heart. 

Pethealth bought his pet registry this year. They offer pet health insurance. If you register your chip, pet with them, expect marketing and advertising. They state this in their disclaimer. They also bought Chameleon and PetHarbor animal software systems. Those systems controlled the animals in public shelters. I know Gary Michelson wanted the data from the chips he donated to Los Angeles City and County animal shelters. The city was discussing whether or not they are allowed to share that information without outside entities. That's when Gary started his registry.

And second, to put the municipal animal services and veterinarians who purchase these chips on notice, that they should make their decisions not just on the minimal cost of the microchip alone, but rather on the total costs that their clients will be forced to pay for the microchip and the registration. These same parties should advise their clients, regardless of from whom they purchase the chips, that there are high-quality services providing free lifelong pet registrations."

Gary Michelson said his Michelson Prize is "successful" yet he still has no one shot sterilant

The Michelson Prize just sent me an email stating they are "successful." They said they've offered the prize for ten years now and allegedly given out $15M. Gary Michelson forgets that December 2005 he announced the prize. It's now been 14 years and he still does not have a one-shot sterilant for cats, dogs. Each year he moves the goal posts farther and farther away so no one will ever be able to claim the prize. The reason is because Gary Michelson doesn't want to give anyone the money. He stated he would give a $25M prize for the one shot sterilant and $50M in grants. The exact terms of the original prize can be found in this blog. Instead Gary has been spending millions to attack two people who made him millions of dollar. Gary probably used the profits from his land deals to pay his legal fees. Gary prefers spending his money on hurting people.

There have been quite a few articles about Gary Michelson no longer being on the Forbes 400 list. This list is very important for Gary's fragile little ego. He gave his "financial" info to Forbes. He told his close advisor he must stay on the list then was still booted off anyway.

This has caused Gary to go into pr over drive. He reposts any positive article many times. He pays people to write glowing articles about him. Now he's taking to posting images of the articles as well as the articles.

Notice the baloney in the photo above. I doubt Gary had anything to do with it.

What he enjoys most "Making the world a better place. Doing good in the world." Let's see filing false criminal complaints against innocent people does not make the world a better place.

"Toughest challenge." "A dysfunctional and violent childhood." Funny none of his brothers had a similar experience. His mother seems like a real nice person.

"Best advice." "If you are not a businessman - don't." He should have taken his own advice. In fact he has people running his businesses and he still gets ripped off. He took some bad tax advice and was fined I think $20 million by the IRS. He sued and lost, appealed and lost again.

"Bucket list." "Take my wife out for dinner." Someone doesn't know what a bucket list is. A bucket list is a list of things you want to do once before you die. This means he's never gone out to dinner with his Russian mail order bride. He makes her hide at home.

Here are some pics from the Found Animals gala. Cory Booker is a good guy. I suggest he not get too cozy with Gary based on what Gary did to other men he liked. At first I thought this was Aimee Gilbreath in the photo. It's actually Alya.

And another thing I found some newspaper ads by Gary Michelson. He was a sports medicine doctor. Sports medicine doctors generally work on knees, shoulders, elbows and not backs. Gary tells people he was a back surgeon. Per his medical license he was not board certified. He didn't state areas of practice. He has nothing to do with patient care, research or teaching. I was told that Gary wasn't good at sports. I know he wasn't involved in any in high school. He wasn't even a member of any club or group unlike his brothers who played a few sports, musical instruments, were in clubs, groups.... Gary seemed to be the only kid in his high school who wasn't involved in any sport, club or group. I was told that is why Gary gravitated to sports medicine. He wanted to meet athletes and sports figures. I was also told that he had major social issues which is why he is not a people person. At the last party he threw for his adoptandshop he basically stood by himself the entire night.

Supreme Court denies petition for review - Dr Gary Michelson criminal trial

She looks miserable in her pics. It says in Russian "I will make you lucky." Think we all know what that means.

"Matchmaker" Paolo Zampolli is the one who "discovered" Melania and invited her to the US. Paolo Zampolli is of course personal friends with Donald Trump. Paolo used his influences in the fashion world to procure "models" for Donald Trump and many others. They now work together. Just Google "Paolo Zampolli" and "pimp" and you'll see all the articles. Zampolli had a "modelling agency" which even included Tara Reid the has been actress.

Found Animals Foundation had their annual gala to give awards to animal people. Eldad Hagar deserves awards for all his hard work. I haven't yet seen Kim Sill's documentary.

Alya Michelson looks different in this pic. Either it's bad lighting, no makeup, she lost weight in her face or she just looks older. After three kids and having to put up with Gary Michelson, can't blame her. If you notice, neither is wearing a wedding ring. Perhaps Gary doesn't want a wedding ring to crimp his style with the boys.

Gary Michelson's Director Aimee Gilbreath makes more mistakes. This will probably be the last one I post for now though there are many more. Many animal experts kept correcting Aimee Gilbreath's posts. What would she do? Listen to their polite advice? No. She would delete their post then ban them from the group. Her first year as the Director she made a few mistakes PER DAY. That is what happens when you hire a business major over someone with experience running a non-profit pro-animal organization. 

Aimee Gilbreath said it's okay to leave your cat alone for two to three days by itself. It's not okay or legal. She posted a link to an article which was deleted because it gave bad information. I posted the link under the pic.

I left a comment stating it's not a good idea or legal. Aimee Gilbreath deleted my post. Other people posted that it's not a good idea. Aimee deleted their posts as well. Someone who saw my post then noticed it was deleted pm'd me. I told her my post was deleted by Aimee. Aimee also deleted one of her posts. And this is why Gary Michelson gets such bad advice. He hires totally inexperienced ass kissers.

It still really irks me that Dr. Gary Michelson dare compares himself to Benjamin Franklin. That's like someone comparing the Devil to God. They are total opposites. Ben Franklin must be spinning in his grave. I bet he wished he invented a time machine so he could come to 2014 and punch Gary in the throat so he'd shut the hell up. What Gary said is a total insult to Ben Franklin. I'm still shocked he didn't know that Ben had no patents and was against patents. Why didn't Dean Flores who works for Gary or Ondi Timoner who wrote the article and made the video do some fact checking? They look like total idiots. This is what happens when you surround yourself with ass kissers.

One last comment. Gary Michelson will sue the shit out of someone for even thinking about an object to put in a spine. He will spend $50,000,000 to sue you even if the product you are thinking about  has nothing to do with his patents. Now that Gary Michelson started 20 Million Minds he wants to steal the copyright from writers. That's like people stealing his patents. If he steals a copyright and takes, steals money from text book authors, publishers, that's okay. If someone were to infringe on one of his patents, he'll sue them until they are penniless. Patent, trademark, copyright...all the same thing. Gary Michelson is so blind he can't even tell what he's doing.

Benjamin Franklin was a brilliant person who invented many useful things which have helped people. He hated the idea of patents. He freely gave these inventions to the people. That is a good person. Gary Michelson is the exact opposite. He STOLE an idea (threaded spinal cage) from two people and just ran to the patent office first to patent it. He beat them by a few months. He'd never even made the product before. That is his main patent. He really shouldn't even be in the inventor hall of fame. He should be in the invention thief hall of fame. Then when others tried to make something similar to what he stole he sued the shit out of them. That is a very, very bad person.

My manuals, articles, photos, videos are all online for anyone to use for free. I want to help people and animals. The only thing I don't allow is for people to make money off my photos and videos because I have ads on them. That would take money from my non-profit. The proceeds from my ads go to my non-profit which desperately needs funds.

Again, there is a huge difference between Benjamin Franklin and Gary Michelson. Benjamin Franklin cared about helping people. Gary Michelson hates people. Gary Michelson also hates animals. He could be sterilizing animals right now with current drugs and saving lives but he wants to steal someone's drug so he can patent it and make money instead. Animals are dying because of Gary and he doesn't care.

Dr. Gary Michelson does not understand basic theory of value. I will explain.

I have been a real estate appraiser, broker, expert witness for 30 years. Everyone knows that market value is what a willing seller will sell a property for and what a willing buyer will pay for the property. I will try to make this as simple as possible. I've had to explain exactly this to some of my clients.

A man bought a house for $10K years ago. He sells it to his son for $20K. Few years later his son sells it to someone else for $50K. What is the property worth? It was worth $10K, $20K and $50K respectively at those times. Did the son rip off his dad? No. Did the final buyer rip off the son? No. These are the prices they agreed to sell and buy at.

Dr. Gary Michelson tells Philip he wants land to plant teak farms. They must meet his certain strict requirements. Philip goes and procures the land then makes sure the land meets Gary's requirements. Philip offers the land at a certain price to Gary. Gary's appraisers, lawyers look at the land and estimate it's value. Gary then agrees to buy the land or not at that price or another that he offers. That was a fair land sales as buyer and seller agreed to the price after doing their due diligence.

This is where Gary doesn't understand and thinks everyone is trying to rip him off. Philip is a land dealer. He is not going to spend his time looking for land, hunting down owners, making offers, buying the property, clearing title...unless he will make a profit. When I was in sales this is how it works. I would flip buildings for profit. I wouldn't do it to make money for the ultimate buyer. That would be stupid.

Let's say Philip buys a piece of land for $100K. He invests money into the land, works and prepares the land and offers it to Gary for $150K. Gary's appraisers, lawyers look at it and say it's a good deal at $150K. It's probably worth more than that. Gary buys the land.

Years later Gary finds out that Philip bought the land for $100K. Gary thinks he's been ripped off. Gary thinks he deserves the profit that Philip made. Gary stupidly thinks at most Philip should only get 6% max commission which is US residential sales commission for residential property. When I sold income property in Cocaine Alley, Ingle-watts, I got minimum 10%. It's a lot more work. Buying a home in the US is very different than buying rural pasture land from villagers in Costa Rica. Philip used his expertise, time, money, language skills, connections, years of experience to buy the land at a price. Gary is not legally entitled to the profit of another or the supposed "bargain value." This is how Gary lost that appeal on the real estate deal on La Cienega. Judge ruled Gary is not entitled to "loss of a bargain." Gary was just an idiot for bidding the loan value and costs at a foreclosure sale. He was the first. He didn't even have to bid at all. He still would have been covered. Whoever told him to bid over his first is an idiot.

Back to Costa Rica. Gary thinks he was ripped off. He wants the profits that Philip made. If Gary wants to make all the profits he should learn Spanish and fly his ass to the dangerous grazing lands of Costa Rica. I doubt these people would even speak to gringo Gary. They'd probably shoot him on site. Gary doesn't take into consideration the risk Philip took buying the land, spending his time and money preparing it to offer to Gary. It's quite possible Philip got stuck with some land that Gary didn't want. Even if Gary could buy the land direct he wouldn't know how to clear title or plant trees. He also wouldn't know how to hire security so people don't steal the trees. When I was in Belize this was a big problem. They'd come at night and steal hardwood trees. They'd also poach the wildlife to eat or sell as pets.

Here's another scenario to show you how crazy this is. Let's say Philip paid $100K for the land. A week earlier someone heard Philip was coming to town to buy land. They bought the land from the villagers for $50K. They think it's just grazing land. They don't know it's suitable for teak farming. Philip then pays $100K for the land. Maybe Gary should sue those people for "loss of a bargain?"

Here's one last scenario to show how absolutely, totally crazy this is. Philip buys the land for 100K. He sells it to Gary for $150K. Few years go by. Gary finds out Philip made a profit. Duh, he's a land dealer. That's what he does. Philip then offers to buy the land back for what he sold it to Gary for, i.e. $150K. Gary then asks his appraisers, lawyers if this is a good deal. They tell Gary "the land is now worth $200K. You made money. You didn't lose a dime." Other people offer Gary even more money for the land. Gary chooses not to sell at an even higher price. Gary probably thinks Philip is trying to rip him off again by "only" offering $150K.

Gary with help from his advisors agreed to buy the land at $150K. It's now worth $200K. Gary decides not to sell the land at $200K. Nobody got ripped off. Philip made Gary money. He should be thanking him instead of suing him. Who the hell cares what Philip or the previous owner paid for the land. I would not care if Philip bought the land for a pack of cigarettes and sold it to me for $150K when it's worth $200K. I would beg Philip to set me up with these deals all day long. I might even instantly sell the land for $200K to someone else and just keep the profits. Should Philip sue me for "loss of profit?" No. It's about making money. It doesn't matter what someone else paid for the property. Remember the Dutch in 1626 bought Manhattan Island from the Indians for $12 in trinkets. Indians thought it was a good deal and agreed to sell. Fair sale.

I'd have clients see what the previous owner paid on title docs and they'd refuse to pay more than a couple of dollars more. They'd lose the deal and someone else would end up buying the property for a great price. Someone needs to sit Gary down and teach him the basics. Doctors really are the worst investors. They think because they are doctors they are smart and know everything. They may know medicine but they don't know real estate or investments as Gary has clearly demonstrated. I hope Philip sues the shit out of Gary when this is done. Gary did worse to Philip than he did to Dave and Dave got a nice settlement I hear.
