Update on Gary Michelson v Richard Powers case. Motion for habeas corpus in Costa Rica, extradition

There was a hearing scheduled for tomorrow. It's been rescheduled for March 13, 2019.

The last thing US filed is a lodged exhibit. I believe Richard Powers is fighting the criminal case in Costa Rica maybe on appeal. He lost by default because he didn't appear. He didn't appear because he was incarcerated here, on probation, with an ankle monitor, had his passport taken away and was ordered not to leave California. Costa Rica doesn't care. He lost by default.

October 23, 2018 the Supreme Court of Costa Rica stated Richard Power's lawyer Manrique Lara Bolanos filed a habeas corpus motion on behalf of Richard on September 27, 2018. The current case against him in Costa Rica is 07-001578-0283-PE for the crime of management fraud. Supposedly Richard lost by default March 10, 2015. Richard's attorney argued that the claims at issue in the Costa Rica case were already decided in the US. Gary stated they are not the same claims (yes, they are). Richard also argued that the claims are times prescribed. Gary stated they are not. Habeas corpus was rejected. They are waiting for the US court to rule on the extradition.

Justice Richard Mosk dies - This was the last case he handled before taking medical leave and retiring

Justice Richard Mosk died of pancreatic cancer at home in hospice care. I think this was the last case he heard in oral argument November 16, 2015. He requested a letter brief on some issues December 11 due December 18, 2015. He became ill December 2015 per his family. It must have been after December 18, 2015. January 22, 2016 they vacated submission as Mosk took medical leave. March 18, 2016 he sent his retirement letter to the Governor. He retired effective March 31, 2016 and died April 17, 2016. If only he'd not gotten sick he could have at least been a dissent on this case. Instead Supreme Court Justice appointed her friend to Mosk's position to roll with the flow. Appellants still would have lost two to one so it doesn't really matter.

Here is his last oral argument in this case. These are a few audio snippets. Justice Richard Mosk was shocked and upset that the state claimed Appellants defrauded Dr Gary Michelson out of money. The state never knew what Appellants paid for the property. They didn't know if they lost or made money yet they claimed Gary lost money. Evidence in the case proved that Gary Michelson made millions in the deals. He sold off only part of the property for $32,000,000. Appellants even offered to buy all the property back for what he paid for it. Gary refused saying the land was worth a lot more than what he paid. Then there was no fraud!

You can hear Justice Richard Mosk get mad at the state for their ridiculous non-existent argument. I'm sure Mosk knew this was a vengeance lawsuit against one of Gary's ex-friends. No money was ever lost. Millions were made. Gary just got sad and mad that his friend didn't want to be his friend anymore. This is the third time Gary has filed false criminal charges against ex-friends that I know of. No one should ever be friends with or do business with Gary Michelson for this reason. Gary then used his money to buy ex-DA Steve Cooley and current DA. Gary even admitted in trial that he took the DA's office out to lunch to thank them for filing this case against his ex-friend. It doesn't get more corrupt than when they brag about how corrupt they are in court.

Dory Andraos went to Cal State Northridge which does not have a good accreditation or history. He also went to Pacific States University which he misspells in his linkedin page as "Pacific State University." This is a private school accredited by ACICS. Real universities such as USC, UCLA are accredited by organizations such as the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. That is a "true" accreditation. Pacific States University is an Internet school with some classes in Korea Town. It's basically run out of an office on Wilshire Blvd.

Dory here worked for evil VCA. VCA is a public company that bought a lot of small veterinary offices. They declaw cats, debark dogs, dock tails, cut ears. They are known as the McDonalds of veterinary hospitals. If you go in to neuter your cat, they will tell you, you should declaw it at the same time to save money on the anesthesia. It's like asking someone if they want fries with with their burger order. They even try to sell you a four paw declaw. I think they were one of the groups that fought us when we banned declaw in LA and other cities in the US. We even got death threats from vets and vet organizations.

Dory Antoun Andraos (December 15, 1973) and his wife Laura Sonia Hecht Flores Andraos (September 1959, September 1962 when she lies about her age) who works with the Los Angeles County Community Development Commission bought a shitty, tiny, cheap one bedroom, one bath 812 sf home on a 4,000 sf lot in a bad area of Whittier in 2004 for $290,000 with a $232,000 loan. Actually the wife bought it. That means Dory had no money and shitty credit. Then they got an equity line and stopped making payments on the home in 2012. They owed nine months of mortgage payments. They lost the home in foreclosure. The home sold in 2013 for $260,000, less than what they paid for it. That means they way over paid in 2005 and probably trashed the home. The MLS photo is only a pic of the outside. That generally means the inside is totally trashed. Evil pissed owners trash their house before they move out when they are foreclosed upon. It's actually a crime but banks know they'll never get any money suing them.

Their monthly mortgage payment was about $978. They couldn't pay $978 a month? Obviously a couple of total losers who can't pay $978 a month. Your mortgage payment can't be over about 30% of your monthly income. That means these two working people's income is $3,260 or $1,600 each. I wonder how much Gary is paying this guy. We know VCA pays people shit. If Gary Michelson is paying this guy more than $2,000 a month, he's overpaying...again. What type of person runs out on a mortgage like this? They obviously both now have shitty credit.

He supposedly wrote this as per his LinkedIn. He is from Lebanon. It doesn't appear that English was his first language. His LinkedIn account says he only speaks English. If English is his first and only language, this is even worse. This is riddled with mistakes and he's supposed to be doing marketing? The grammar is atrocious! Unless "something really bad happened?" Those are the words of a seven year old. He ends a sentence with a preposition. He put the wrong quotation marks in the wrong place. He doesn't understand the difference between singular and plural. He uses little kid language. "Something really bad" would not be a highly contagious disease. URI, kennel cough are highly contagious but they rarely kill an animal. "Something really bad" would be "something" that causes the most harm like Parvovirus, Distemper and Feline panleukopenia.

Egotistical Dr Gary Michelson names everything after himself and pays for the privilege with transactional philanthropy

Good article in the Times below about egotistical individuals who buy naming rights of buildings. It's called "transactional philanthropy or charity by lawyers." I think it's just paid advertising, marketing, public relations. Gary Michelson donated the money to get the press to try to salvage his horrible reputation.

The article states that there are very few true philanthropists today. They're mainly egotistical insecure people who demand their name on everything, such as Dr Gary Michelson. Gary tells his silly story at the ground breaking on video stating that USC called him up and wanted to honor him by naming a building after him. No, they just wanted his money.

I have a feeling that the people who actually have to mention the name of the building will probably give it a nickname like "the crazy gary center," "the bldg that evil and greed built."

Transactional philanthropy contracts often spell out the terms of a gift with great specificity. There is certainly a minimum length of the naming obligation; perpetuity is usually off the table. There are default provisions as well, such as: What if the donor goes bankrupt or to the clink before the gift is completed? And, of course, details on branding. I don't know who came up with calling the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts "the Wallis," but I doubt it sprang up spontaneously from its Beverly Hills patrons.

Branding, which is at the heart of philanthropic naming, can be tricky. Will the full name David Geffen Hall stick? New Yorkers notoriously shorten even nicknames (A-Rod, MOMA, the Met). It could become the Geff.

But if our billionaire becomes displeased with his Lincoln Center agreement, there is another juicy opportunity awaiting him in his adopted home town. "Mr. Geffen, the Los Angeles Music Center is on the line. They want to give you an honorary baton."

If he did, the contest would be over and no one would like him any more or be his friends. At least he realizes the ONLY reason a sane person would "like" him would be for his money. When I first met him I didn't realize he was a crazy, evil lunatic. If I'd known, and I wish I had, I would have refused to work for him. 

This reminds me of the joke. "You so ugly yo momma had to put bologna on you just to get the dog to play with you." Money is Gary's bologna. He's made a whole bologna suit just like Lady Gaga's meat dress. And Gary will run to patent a bologna suit in 3, 2...

Final sentencing results today in Dr Gary Michelson criminal trial, ex-Forbes billionaire, crazy person extraordinaire

UPDATE: Judge Craig Robert Richman seemed fair and just at trial until the very end. Of course the very end of the trial is all that matters. I just realized that he and Gary Michelson are major water skiers and both own water ski homes in Arvin, California minutes from each other. Craig's son competes in water skiing. So did Gary, Neil and Gary's ex-wife.  Gary's ex-wife's family are major water skiers in that area. I would think Richman would have run into Gary's ex-wife's family up there.

Craig Richman also worked for the DA's office for 19 years. Of course most criminal court Judges probably worked for the DA but Richman worked directly under Steve Cooley "Richman, 47, a Republican from Chatsworth, worked most recently as a calendar trial deputy at the downtown criminal courthouse. He also served as an assistant head deputy and a supervisor of the Target Crimes Division under Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley. Richman prosecuted crimes against police officers and hundreds of felony trials." Seems Judge Richman endorses and supports the same people Steve Cooley and Jackie Lacey endorse.

Richman went to Arizona State for undergrad and McGeorge law school in Sacramento. Those are odd schools to go to if you are going to be a lawyer in Los Angeles, California. He started with the DA straight out of law school in 1986. 19 years in the DA office he should really know what's going on in this case. I'm sure he understands the politics involved in LAPD, DA, political candidates, Judges, campaign donations, money, favors....He worked for the DA under Steve Cooley and now under the new DA Jackie Lacey. In 2005 he was appointed by Schwarzenegger as judge for LA Superior Court. Perhaps it's just a really small world. All I know is Robert Knowles and Craig Richman obviously picked the short straws to get stuck with this case. Gary will try to ruin Knowles who did the best job he could with no evidence and his one witness committed perjury repeatedly. That's probably why Judge Richman refused to rule on the motion to dismiss the one charge. He doesn't want to be a target or have an issue being re-elected as Judge. He doesn't want to end up like Judge Goodson only hearing restraining order cases. He will gladly hand this mess over to three appellate judges who will hopefully be more distanced from the politics involved. He saw Gary go after Knowles in the court room. He knows from this case how low, vindictive, crazy and evil Gary Michelson can be. Gary probably would have tried to destroy Judge Craig Richman if he reduced and dismissed the one count. Now Neil and Richard have years of hell waiting for the appeal. They can't get a job, have a bank account, rent a place, lease a car, have a life....

I finally was able to gather some information and piece things together. They were each found guilty of one count of fraud by trickery. Neil got two years suspended sentence because he was in jail for one year and four months. Richard got three years suspended sentence to probation. Some was suspended because he was in jail four months. Neither is going back to jail unless they violate probation. Richard's probation is in California. He can't go home. In fact because of this ruling they can never get a job again unless they win on appeal. You can't sell real estate or cars, the only jobs they've ever known, if you've been convicted of felony fraud.

The count should have been reduced to misdemeanor then dismissed based on prop 47 and they have no priors. Plus, count was barred by statute of limitations and jury did not find that one penny was stolen. I think felony is $900, misdemeanor is $450 or less. They both have perfect probation records, i.e. no priors. See the motions in the previous post.

The Judge did not want to rule on the case. He asked them to appeal. They could appeal by reversible error. Judge Craig Richman did not want to be one of the first Judges to rule on prop 47. MORE IMPORTANTLY i.e. REAL REASON I BELIEVE, he did not want to rule on this case because of Dr Gary Michelson's very strong relationship to the current and ex-DA's. He probably also didn't want to receive the wrath of Gary.

I used to think I'd like to be a judge so I could rule fairly based on law and evidence. I know, incredibly naive. I have since realized that being a judge has NOTHING to do with fair rulings, law or evidence. It has to do with campaign donations, endorsements by the DA, LAPD, other Judges, politicians and being elected. Actually being elected comes in dead last. Most Judge's in LA don't even have to campaign because they run unopposed. No one wants their job. If you're a good attorney, you will make much more than a Judge. I think some Judges are appointed in appeal and supreme court.

A criminal appeal can be fast tracked. It should be in this case as these people are stuck in California away from their homes and families. They can't get a job. They will have to sign up for welfare, food stamps and medi-cal. The appeal could take two years easily. They should get a free attorney for the appeal I believe. It's just so sad that this Judge could have settled this fairly today but chose not to. He now forces these two people into two to three years of hardship, poverty, seclusion from their family, inability to work, get a job, provide for their family...not to mention mental and physical stress.

Dr Gary Michelson is extremely evil and mentally ill. I'm going to try to get the minutes from today. He got up there and lied about everyone and everything. He perjured himself in my case as well. I wish I could have gotten up there and told the Judge that Gary has a very long history of lying, perjury and fraud though I'm sure the Judge realizes this.

It is a horrible miscarriage of justice what has happened in this case. Gary Michelson using his money, power and connections to get people to do what he wants. I remember the day when he said he wanted the Mayor to do such and such. I said "well, you're going to have to give the mayor a lot of money." He said "okay, do it." I said "it has to be legal campaign contributions. You can't just give them money, bribe them!" What do I know.

I guess Neil and Richard should be lucky that the 140+ charges were reduced to seven, six were dismissed and they were only found guilty of one charge. They could have been looking at life in prison. Still, no money was stolen, taken. Gary Michelson made a lot of money from Richard and Neil. Let this be a lesson to all. NEVER EVER do business with Gary Michelson. It's not worth it. I wish I never worked for him. He is an evil, nasty, little man.

Gary Michelson continues to abuse judicial process to harass, harm Neil and Richard

Gary Michelson's attorneys have been filing motion after motion for post judgment debtor examination and request for discovery just to harass Neil and Richard. He knows they are broke and he doesn't care. They need to file a motion for abuse of process and request sanctions.

I was lucky in my case when the other side filed motions to compel post trial discovery. The Judge never set a hearing or ruled on it. It was denied by operation of law within 75 days. I did file a reply to their motion for post trial discovery. It would not have led to anything discoverable. It was done for harassment purposes only. The Judge in the civil case needs to put a stop to this abuse of process.

I just looked at some docs. Richard had a lawyer file a reply to the motion to compel discovery. Richard stated he had no responsive documents which I can believe. Judge still told Richard to write in his reply that he swears he has no responsive documents. I assume he did that. Both sides agreed to postpone the debtor examination to December 1, 2014. I hope Richard, Neil's lawyer can file a motion for abuse of process to get Gary to stop with the post judgment harassment. Gary continues to beat this dead horse for his personal pleasure. If Gary read the declaration Richard wrote, he is truly an evil man for continuing to attack him. You can't get blood out of a turnip. You can't find peace, happiness, satisfaction by trying to torment someone.

On another note I hope Gary didn't do anything to Robert Knowles because of the outcome of this case. It's not Knowles' fault that Gary is a liar and there was no crime. I think he did the best he could considering there was no evidence of a crime. I'm amazed they were found guilty of one count.

I added a new keyword. It's #forbes400  I'm now positive that Gary told David Cohen to lie and post all over the Internet that he was making lots of money off teak farms, real estate...when he probably wasn't. Gary can join a list of other crazy billionaires who are pissed they aren't on the list or aren't ranked high enough.

Here is Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. He intentionally juggles his stock before the list comes out so he'll look wealthier. He got pissed that they didn't believe his self-reported wealth so he doesn't want to have anything to do with Forbes. He then sued Forbes for defamation but never served them.

Dr Gary Michelson, 995 motion hearing today, Forbes, billionaire, Brentwood, California

The 995 hearing was this morning. The Judge stated he'd read all the motions but was unsure about how to rule. Judge asked Counsel for more time to read entire transcript of preliminary hearing and transcripts from the hearings for other motions to get a better feel for the case. At that point Neil's head fell between his hands and he started crying. The Judge saw this and seemed very concerned for Neil.Counsel and Judge agreed to hear and rule on the motion next Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 10 a.m.

The next motion had to do with Power's bond. DA Knowles argued that Neil's bail should go back up to $1M. At least Knowles agreed that Power's bond should not be higher than Neil's. The Judge said "I'm not going to raise Mr Campbell's bail back up so I'm going to reduce Mr. Power's bail down to the same as Mr. Campbell at $500K." This is a reduction from the $5M property bond. Counsel worked out the details among themselves. Judge seems to be taking this case seriously with great interest. I hope he rules according to the evidence and the law. I hope he sees through the corrupt DA and Gary Michelson's money.

In the summer 2014 edition of USC Trojan Family magazine PR writer Katharine Gammon wrote a "thank you for giving us money, here is the positive press we promised" fluff piece about Gary Michelson. The title is "Man with a Plan." She states his plan is to merge science and engineering together for biomedical advancement. Ms Gammon could not be further from the truth of the matter. Gary Michelson's plan is to control and destroy people at his whim for personal evil satisfaction. He has no desire whatsoever for biomedical advancement. He wants money, power and vengeance for his miserable existence. And that's okay with USC. They also don't want biomedical advancement. They just want money. USC will take money from anyone for anything then they will use the money as they please in the general fund. Maybe Gary should ask for construction receipts to make sure the $50M goes to building the building and putting his name on top in huge gold letters.

I went to USC and realize the main job of the dean is to beg wealthy people for money. They must continue to expand and they need money to do that. And every time they expand they need even more money to maintain the new structures and programs. This causes a never ending money problem which their $45,000/year tuition for students can't cover.

USC also needs to continue to beg for grant money for research projects which don't really help anyone except maybe drug and or medical implant companies. I'm amazed they haven't gotten a Michelson grant yet for reproductive studies. Maybe they will give Alya an honorary degree in exchange for grant money. Sure, she can barely speak English but perhaps USC will give her an honorary English and Business degree. I believe her skills in gold-diggery already qualify her for this. Alya was an acting and journalism major in Russia. Look at these amazing acting skills. She deserves an Oscar for her pose in this photo.

In this photo Gary's expression and overly whitened teeth say "I haz a Russian mail order beard which I bought and own!" Alya's expression is dollar signs in her eyes while she looks off into the near future when Gary has a heart attack and she can be freeeeeee. Her eyes are saying "sooooon!" They went a little heavy on the photoshop. I can see reducing Gary's wrinkles but they also got rid of every tiny line on Alya so the age difference appears the same. Gary is double Alya's age. He's over 30 years older than her.

As with every interview Gary Michelson again makes fun of himself being a "bad business person." Here's a quote from the article, "Michelson didn’t attend USC, but “I’m thinking about taking a money-management course there,” he says with a laugh."

After Gary Michelson has told the world for the 100th time in the last ten years that he's a lousy business person he really can't keep suing people for ripping him off. He admits he's a lousy business person. Even then he has had David Cohen since at least June 2005 supposedly running all of his businesses for him. Gary started his silly garden in late 2007. Why didn't Cohen keep Gary from getting ripped off?
