I've been writing about Dr. Gary Michelson publicly since 2005. I first met him in person December 2005 at Kathleen Riordan's house when everyone met Ed Boks for the first time. He said he was going to use his money, mind and influence to make Los Angeles the first true nokill city. I wanted to believe him and I did. I supported him.
February 2006 he saw my website, SEO presentation for the new LA Animal Services website that I made for free. He liked my presentation then hired me to work for him. He would call me on the phone and talk for hours about his ideas. He'd give me different duties which I did. I would fax him what he requested. I still have all of those faxes. I posted some here.
I ended up being hired to work for the City under a grant under written by Dr. Gary Michelson's Found Animals Foundation. I ended up getting fired through no fault of my own. I didn't get my last check and no one was getting back to me so I called Gary. Gary said "I didn't fire you. I didn't even know you were fired. I loved your work."
Gary told me to drop off a report to his house and I did. Then he said he requested a report on the economics of animal control meaning every single program. He previously just asked for spay and neuter. I redid the report and gave it to him. He sent me my check. This is around June 2006.
July 2007 I sued the City for causing me to be fired. My attorney told me to also sue Gary Michelson and Found Animals because they were the entity who under wrote my job and paid me. I didn't want to because I thought Gary was a good guy who would help animals. I didn't want him to stop helping LA's animals. I wish I could kick myself in the head for that stupid move.
I sued the City and produced a ton of evidence of harassment, sexual harassment, unlawful termination. When the City saw my evidence they immediately offered to settle. We're in mediation and the mediator said "but your boss wrote a statement saying he fired you because you did a bad job. I said "What? No way!" I called up Loftus and he said he made no statement. I finally had to go and get the statement. My shitty attorney Solomon Gresen of LA didn't bother to give me a copy of anything he filed or received. He did not even read the City's reply to my lawsuit which was filed months earlier. In there was a totally false statement by Gary Michelson. He didn't even spell the name of his foundation properly. This leads me to believe attorney for City wrote it.
I think about that time I found out that Gary's ex-Director sued him for defamation and got a quick settlement. I contacted that attorney who said I had a great case but he didn't want to go up against Michelson again because his lawyers are nasty. I was a witness and gave documents in the that case as ordered. The LAPD said that Gary was "crazy," a "liar" and a "flake." LAPD said there was no crime, no missing money or checks. LAPD said Gary lied and made it all up. I was truly shocked that Gary lied so much. I repeated some of what he said. I retracted my statements (which weren't public) and apologized to Loftus. I called Gary's friends and asked them what I should do about her totally false statement. They told me to first write a polite letter asking him to retract his statement. If he doesn't reply, be more firm about possible legal repercussions. If he doesn't retract, sue him.
I did those things and he refused to retract his statement which was pure perjury. I decided not to sue and just forget about it. By then everyone knew that Gary Michelson was a total fraud and a liar. He'd promise money or programs then later say "I never said that."At that time I thought "well, if Gary is ever in a legal case again, I'll be sure to tell people about his history of perjury." And here we are today.
June of last year I hear about Gary Michelson filing criminal charges against two people. Gary states they ripped him off yet out of the other side of his mouth he's telling everyone how much money he made in the deals. It sounded exactly like the Loftus case. I had a feeling Gary filed false charges yet again. Based on all I've dug up I believe Gary again filed false criminal charges against Campbell and Powers. This is what he does to people he dislikes.
