Gary Michelson says he has one fewer patent than Ben Franklin. Ben has no patents at all.

Dr Gary Michelson is mentally ill. I believe he's bipolar, obsessive compulsive and a pathological liar. Very recently be bragged that he "is one patent away from Benjamin Franklin, who has been inducted into the inventor hall of fame." I saved the entire video and page. Ben Franklin was smart and a prolific inventor. Gary wants people to think Gary is as smart. Guess what? Gary is so stupid that he never bothered to see how many patents Benjamin Franklin has before he made his insane statement. He doesn't care because he's bullshitting. Benjamin Franklin NEVER patented ANY of his inventions! Why? Because he wanted people to be able to use them for free to create a better world. Ben was against patents.

"Franklin was a prodigious inventor. Among his many creations were the lightning rod, glass armonica (a glass instrument, not to be confused with the metal harmonica), Franklin stove, bifocal glasses and the flexible urinary catheter. Franklin never patented his inventions; in his autobiography he wrote, "... as we enjoy great advantages from the inventions of others, we should be glad of an opportunity to serve others by any invention of ours; and this we should do freely and generously."

So Gary Michelson has negative one patent (-1)? Benjamin Franklin is the opposite of Gary Michelson. Ben Franklin wanted to help people. Gary Michelson wants to help ONLY his wallet and ego. His other main goal in life is to harm people whom he feels wronged him such as his ex-boyfriend.

Here is another HUGE bold face lie. Gary Michelson said (paraphrased, see the video) "I invented and patented every spinal device and tool that is used in every spinal surgery today." That is NOT true! He truly is pathological. There are many other devices by many other inventors. That is why there are so many lawsuits.

Here's another one which I believe is a lie but I need to dig up proof. He said "Michelson may not be the person you might expect to disrupt the ed space, but he is no stranger to overcoming impossible odds, "I actually put myself through medical school, which they say you can't do. I drove cabs at night, I washed cars at a dealership, I cleaned animal cages in research laboratories." I believe his mother and grandparents paid for his medical school. They all had plenty of money. They paid for his other brothers to go to medical school. Why wouldn't they pay for him? His other brothers thanked their grandparents for putting them through school and supporting them. Plus, other people have put themselves through med school.

Here is an older story. He said he grew up poor yet admits they had a television set. To have a television set in the 1950's means you are wealthy. His grandparents were wealthy. They owned a business. His mother remarried a doctor who died quickly. Then she married a very rich man. They were not poor. All the kids went to college and graduate school.

Here is the crazy video which I copied. It's called "disruptive." This old word is so over and misused. Gary is not disrutpting anything. It includes an article in HuffPo. Seems the person who wrote the article also made the video. Ondi Timoner runs Interloper Films which is a production video company. Sounds like people pay her to make videos for them. This video below is not independent. It's full of total lies. She obviously did no research. She just repeated the nonsense and lies. She also raises money on one of those gofundme sites. So businesses can pretend to do work for free and ask for donations on gofundme? Looks like it. I need to look into that. You can beg for money instead of doing work in exchange for money. I will say the article and film were well made. They are just total and absolute lies, obviously paid market, press.

It's full of total bullshit. He says he put $25M into 20M minds. It's not in his 990's though maybe he did it very recently. He says that his 20 million minds foundation is "disruptive" because it's changing how textbooks are made, read, shared, updated. He thinks he invented pdf and digital files which have been around for 20 years! 20 million minds it turns out is trying to take the book business from book companies. He's going to have people write the text books for the basic classes you need to graduate college. He said paraphrased "geometry has been around for hundreds of years. Book companies should not make money sell books on geometry." He forgets copyright covers only the way  you write something. It does not and has never covered the subject matter. Geometry is not copyrighted. Anyone can write a book on geometry or copy an old one.

Then he is going to charge people to buy pdf, digital versions of the book along with a reader! He's not going to just load them up on the internet for free. He wants to make money! All of his "charities" all now want to make money. How is that a nonprofit charity? We're talking 25 basic books which you can rent from the library for free. What about Google books? PDF? eReaders? The free eReader apps? Free pdf books? Copyrights are gone after so many years. Anyone can turn any of those books into free pdfs. All smart phones can read pdf and digital books for free. If he did this 20 years ago it would be something but we've been doing this for many years now.

He goes on to say "it'll be amazing. You can edit or change a book instantly. You don't have to wait for a five or six year cycle." Has he never seen the internet? We've been doing that for years. I have been editing my free pdf manuals with embedded links since 2003, 11 years. Whoever is running 20M minds is making Gary Michelson appear more delusional than he is.

He thinks people currently use paper text books. I haven't used a paper text book in years. He said "most people drop out of college because they can't afford $150-$200 for text books." That's bullshit. ALL textbooks are available in the library for free. Older versions you can find for free in pdf online. When I went to college school cost $18,000/year. I had a full scholarship. Do you think I'd lose that opportunity by not buying $200 worth of books per year? Is he really this uneducated about the internet, school and text books? They could even buy used books if they wanted to which I did. You then sell your book back to the book store at the end of the year. I also read one real expensive book in the library. I haven't used a paper book in any of my classes in the last 11 years. All appraisal books are pdf. There are no more paper books. He's not "disrupting" or inventing anything. It's evolution which has been happening for 20 years. The paper book companies already make their books in pdf. He is way behind the time with his "disruptive" idea.

I made all of my pdf manuals for free. He also said "what if you are reading your digital book on your iPad and click a link to see a video!" We've been able to do that with PDF 9.0 for years! Who allowed him to say such rubbish? Why in the world would Bill Gates want to have anything to do with crazy Gary Michelson who doesn't even understand digital books, ereaders, modern college system or the internet.

He went on to say (paraphrased) "we have believed that students need to sit in seats to learn. We should have online classes. They should be allowed and accredited." They already are! Has he been living under a rock for the last 20 years? Two of my friends have law licenses and they did all classes online. They graduated over six years ago and are practicing law.

He goes on to say "what we're doing is going to change the world! There will be someone in a hut in Zimbabwe with an internet connection learning in his own language." Seriously, Gary must have been living under a rock. They did that years ago.
